Enjoy a unique experience visiting the impressive Irazú Volcano, the highest point in Costa Rica. Continue to historic Cartago to visit the Basilica of Our Lady of the Angels, then explore the scenic Orosi Valley, surrounded by mountains, coffee plantations, and colonial monuments; the tour includes a delicious Creole lunch before heading back to San José.

🌋 Irazú Volcano Experience
A unique experience where you will have the opportunity to visit the Irazú Volcano National Park, whose name means “Earthquake and Thunder Mountain” given by the indigenous people who lived in the area, you can also visit the historic city of Cartago and the scenic Orosi Valley.

🚐 Scenic Ascent
We will start the tour by driving the ascent to the imposing Irazú volcano, passing through fertile lands cultivated with a wide variety of vegetables such as potatoes, onions, carrots and other products of the region.

🌄 Panoramic Views
At the top, on a clear day, both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans can be observed from this highest volcano in Costa Rica at 3,432 meters (11,000 feet) above sea level.

Historic Cartago City
After the visit, we will descend to Cartago, the ancient capital of country established in 1563, where we will visit the Basilica of the Virgin of Los Angeles.

🌿 Orosi Valley
Continue to the Orosi Valley, surrounded by beautiful mountains cultivated with coffee, sugar cane and ornamental plants among others.

🏛️ Colonial Heritage
Visit the historic town of Orosi and its colonial church. Orosi was the protagonist of important historical and religious events during the colonial era, whose inherited vestiges have been declared national historical monuments, where the beautiful Colonial Church of Orosi still open to the public stands out.

🍽️ Traditional Lunch
Enjoy a delicious Creole lunch before returning to San José.
