Our journey begins along the Pan Americana Sur highway, gradually ascending toward the Irazú Volcano National Park. As we traverse fertile lands cultivated with various vegetables, we’ll be treated to stunning mountainous vistas. At the Mirador Sanatorium Durán, perched above the city of Cartago, a panoramic view awaits—a sight that, on clear days, extends all the way to the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. From the volcano’s summit, visitors can marvel at its main craters, adding to the awe-inspiring experience.
