Excelentes tours, organización y transporte, nos llevamos una muy bonita experiencia. Queremos agradecer al guía Marco por su buenísima atención y amabilidad, siempre nos trató como si fuéramos amigos de toda la vida. Nos contó y aprendimos muchas cosas sobre Costa Rica, incluso nos llevó a ver guacamayas, garzas, cocodrilos y más en el camino, y nos ayudó a encontrar otros animalitos en el parque Manuel Antonio porque luego son difíciles de ver. Hasta nos ayudó a conseguir un tour de última hora porque nos habían quedado mal en otra agencia. Si algún día regresamos a Costa Rica (que sí nos quedaron muchas ganas), volveríamos con Tico Travel, definitivamente.

We booked two excursions, and both exceeded our expectations. Our first tour with Carlos took us to the volcano, breathtaking waterfalls, and a coffee plantation. From the moment we met him, he was warm, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. He shared so much of Costa Rica’s history, culture, and traditions throughout the day, making the experience both educational and unforgettable. We never felt rushed, and he made sure we had plenty of opportunities to enjoy each stop and take photos. Our second excursion with Jose was to Baldi Hot Springs in La Fortuna, and it was just as exceptional. Jose was friendly, professional, and also shared fascinating information about Costa Rica during our drive. Both Carlos and Jose made us feel completely safe and comfortable throughout our tours, and their passion for their country truly showed. Jürgen24/03/2026Schöner und spannender Tag mit Larry Wir haben die Tour auf den Vulkan Poas gemacht und anschliessend die Kaffeetour auf die Doka Plantage mit Larry. Er hat uns sehr gut durch den Tag geführt, hat uns sehr viele Informationen über Costa Rica gegeben. Bei unserem nächsten Costa Rica Besuch werden wir auf jeden Fall wieder eine Tour mit Larry machen.

Rxcelente tour, recomendable Tico Tours, recientemente realizamos el tour de dos noches y tres días a Tortuguero con Tico Tours, experiencia muy agradable, aunque con algunos problemas en el transporte sin ninguna consecuencia, todo lo planificado se cumplió con éxito, en los horarios establecideos. Los guias muy buenos , tanto Fernando como Henry excelentes en trato, conocimientos y disposición. Realizamos el paseo por los canales, la visita al pueblo de Tortuguero y el Hotel Pachira escogido, muy bueno. Realmente con una planificación muy acertada y llevada a cabo con todo éxito.

Claude S06/02/2026A lack of pura vida here. The national park is without doubt a beautiful place, with impressive beaches and prepared walkways that improve accessibility. We arrived early in the morning and there was already a huge queue to enter. When we got in, it was filled with huge numbers of people, where one guided group shuffles along in front of another with several more following or pushing by to view anything. This obviously diminishes the chances of seeing much undisturbed wildlife. If you are just going for a swim its probably good enough to visit , but as any kind of wildlife experience it's simply too overcrowded now. The registered guides ( dont be fooled by those hanging around the gate) are doing their best but the park authorities need to get control of the number of people allowed to enter otherwise it will not be worth visiting. This view was expressed to me by a number of Costa Ricans we met. Having spent almost a month travelling around Costa Rica, this was the least rewarding part of my visit as it just felt overcrowded throughout. I'm saddened to say I wouldn't think of going again.

Gorilla ReviewsWe stayed at the gran hotel and Ticotravel adventures was operating out of the lobby. I didn’t do any tours with them but they did organize a private shuttle for me and my family to La fortuna (volcano arenal área). They did such a great job when we needed to get back to San Jose, I called and the arranged a driver to pick me up at my hotel in Manuel Antonio and bring us back to San Jose. I highly recommend them for private shuttle service.

The agent at Gran Hotel managed to find me a tour on short notice which fit well with my last day in your country. He also gave a lot of good information about places of interest with walking distance of the Hotel Gran. The other was my tour guide, Luis. He was very informative regarding history and points of interest, as well as rounding out the tour with a beautiful (Los Angeles) cathedral on the way back to the hotel. Sincere thanks to these 2 people for adding to an already pleasing memory for a fantastic trip!
