A unique experience where you will have the opportunity to visit the Irazu Volcano National Park, whose name means " Earthquake and Thunder Mountain" given by the indigenous people who lived in the area, you can also visit the historic city of Cartago and the scenic Orosi Valley.
We will start the tour by driving the ascent to the imposing Irazu volcano. The path surrounded by green fields will take us through fertile lands cultivated with a wide variety of vegetables such as potatoes, onions, carrots and other products of the region. At the top of the Irazu volcano national park, some craters will be observed and on a sunny and cloudless day, both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans could be observed as this volcano is the highest in Costa Rica at 3,432 meters (11,000 feet) above sea level. After the visit to the Irazu volcano, we will descend towards the city of Cartago, the ancient capital of Costa Rica established in 1563, where we will visit the Basilica of the Virgin of Los Angeles. Then we will continue to the Orosi Valley, which has beautiful landscapes, surrounded by beautiful mountains cultivated with coffee, sugar cane and ornamental plants among others. The town of Orosi was the protagonist of important historical and religious events during the colonial era, whose inherited vestiges have been declared national historical monuments, where the beautiful Colonial Church of Orosi still open to the public stands out, your visit will take place after a delicious Creole lunch and then embark on the trip back to San José.
